    Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Compliance






    Energy using Products (EuP) Legislation & Chemical Substances Management
    Although the current focus of many customers is on RoHS requirements, we are aware of the current draft EuP legislation (2003/0172(COD)) and are currently investigating these requirements along with the increasing requirements of certain customer's Chemical Substances Management systems.
     
    Given the variety of different Chemical Substances Management systems we have seen we are also investigating the development of standards such as the draft EIA, EICTA and JGPSSI Material Composition Declaration Guide and the International Materials Data System (IMDS) and also the work carried out by ZVEI with respect to 'Umbrella Specifications'.
     
    In order to satisfy the requirements of EuP and create our EMS system we have committed to achieving ISO14000 accreditation by July 2006.
