Murata Power Solutions has introduced two new families of radial lead format inductors. The low DC resistance 1100R and 1300R series suit low and medium current applications and have a compact design making them ideal for high density circuits where chip inductors are not able to cope with the power requirements. These general purpose devices are ideal for providing filtering in a wide range of designs such as those found in power supply applications.

The 1100R series has overall dimensions of 4.0mm diameter x 5.5mm, is offered with inductance values ranging from 1.0µH to 470µH and has maximum current ratings of 0.14A to 3.0A. The 1300R series measures 8.0mm diameter x 10mm, has inductance values of 1.5µH to 68mH, and maximum current ratings between 0.04A and 6.3A.

The two new ranges are RoHS compliant and fully backward compatible with Sn/Pb soldering systems. Custom value parts are available and operating temperature range is -40°C to +85°C.
