Regional Sales Manager/Midwest Region


Summary:
Responsible for all sales activities within the assigned territory, comprised of a set of Assigned Leadership accounts and a geographical area, including achievement of related budget, goals and objectives. Emphasis is placed upon Channel Partner Management of our Manufacturing Representatives and Local Distribution channels assigned to the defined geographical territory. In addition, RSM will also be responsible for the acquisition and development of Leadership assigned accounts in the territory.


Responsibilities :
  • Develop a business plan for the penetration of accounts and the growth of sales of the Company's products to customers in the assigned territory.
  • Implement defined strategies and tactics to achieve budgeted order-input levels and targeted new account acquisition quota
  • Qualify, develop and manage select Leadership account sales prospects within the assigned territory.
  • Acquire, manage and motive Independent Manufacturer Representative within the assigned territory.
  • Establish and build personal relationships within defined channel partners and direct house accounts.
  • Prepare, recommend and negotiate pricing, terms and conditions for quotations (RFQ's) blanket agreements and contracts for management approval.
  • Proactively manage and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction within existing account base.
  • Ongoing, proactive qualification, management and progression of sales leads, prospects and product samples.
  • Coordinate and assist in resolution of locally initiated customer concerns, complaints and corrective actions.
  • Provide local training and technical applications support to representatives, sales channel partners and select end users.
  • Resolve local channel conflicts through proper implementation of divisional policy.
  • Act in a positive and proactive manner at all times, presenting the Corporation, Division, its products and policies and the like in a positive manner. Routine Activity and Reporting Requirements:
  • Timely completion of customer visit report form
  • Weekly Activity Report (555's Report)
  • Timely and accurate input into Sales Management Tool
  • Maintain Sales Funnel Tool ( SFT)
  • Monthly forecast update
  • Independent Manufacturer Representative bi-annual performance review and business plan development- Formal QBR
  • Timely submission of business expenses within Corporate policy limitations


  • Education/Experience:

    The position requires a Bachelors Degree and seven to ten years of related industry experience.  Demonstrated account acquisition skills, presentation skills, professionalism and ethical/morale foundation. Presentation skills, analytical ability, written communications, professionalism and organizational skills must all be at a high level.  Travel is approximately 40-50%.  Some overnight travel is a requirement.

    This position is located in the local served market: North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Kentucky, Ohio, West Virginia, West Pennsylvania and Eastern Canada.
