Customer Support Specialist (RMA)


Summary:
This role acts as a focal point for internal departments, contract manufacturers and our customers for all customer product returns. Ensures all RMA information, internal tracking, and status is communicated globally. Communicate directly with the customer to attain required information, when the customer wants to return product to Murata. Once required information is provided by the customer, this role is responsible for releasing RMA # to the customer. The role is responsible for performing system transactions to manage RMA's. Performs system transaction to track RMA progress and ship product back to the customer. Responsible to publish management reports on RMA status, aging, and value. Tasks are very complex in nature where considerable judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems and making recommendations. Decisions/actions may have an impact on the department's goals and may go beyond the department. Works under minimum Supervision and situations not covered by standard processes, procedures and methods are referred to manager or expert resource. Builds internal and external relationships requiring exchanging of information, and provide explanations in a problem-solving capacity.


Responsibilities :
Includes the following but is not all inclusive. Other duties may be assigned. Knowledge of power electronics beneficia. l Knowledge of accounting policies and practices. Knowledge of basic computer applications and the ability to learn and use applications specific to this department. Knowledge of relevant purchasing terms and conditions. Ability to efficiently organize, file and retrieve hard copy and electronic information relating to the business of the work unit. Assist Accounts Receivable Dept in resolving open issues and conflicts. Maintain integrity of all Master Data, customer address information, shipping instructions, customer material number, etc.

Education/Experience:
Two to four years experience. Additional courses after high school or equivalent combination of education and experience.
