1971 - Celab was formed as a subsidiary of a US military power specialist, to introduce into Europe the (then new) switching power conversion technology.
1976 -1990 - Celab was owned by ABB CEAG of Dortmund, one of the world's largest power supply companies.
1990 - Celab was purchased from CEAG by the senior management team.
2004 - In May 2004 Celab was acquired by C&D Technologies.
Today - From military design principles learnt from former parent companies and further enhancement over the fourteen years of private ownership, Celab has design and manufacturing capabilities to cater for wide-ranging power supply and system projects.
Although primarily manufactured for military markets, Celab power supplies successfully compete in niche industrial markets both in the United Kingdom and mainland Europe.
With extensive experience in the building of complex electro-mechanical assemblies, the Celab manufacturing facility also offers a Electronic Manufacturing Service (EMS) service to defense customers. Our 21,500ft2 purpose-built facility, which is ISO 9001:2000 certified, employs around 100 staff primarily based in engineering and manufacturing.
Celab products are supplied to all of the major defense companies in Europe. |
