AC/DC Power Supplies : CATV and Telecom Overview
Small, rugged and military reliability at commerical prices
Rugged, military reliability at commercial prices System availability and quality of service are now key business issues for all communications network providers, including CATV. Using our military experience, we have pioneered the development of low cost, space saving electronic power supplies specifically for the CATV market.

Smaller, more flexible and more intelligent than ferro-resonant Thousands of our units have been field-proven, replacing traditional ferro-resonant supplies in both new and existing installations in the UK and internationally. Whether providing DC only, AC only, or combined AC and DC outputs, Celab provides reliability and flexibility, specifically aimed at the CATV and Telco markets where space and height are at a premium. DC converters are ruggedized for external cabinet use and are non-fan cooled for long life. Remote monitoring facilities are built-in, with a choice of either analogue or HMS/RS485 interface.

Dedicated fan controllers to reduce acoustic noise As part of our commitment to the individual needs of this market, we have also produced an intelligent fan speed controller, which ensures that cabinet fans are only run when needed, and only at the speed necessary. This automatic system dramatically reduces fan noise, especially late at night, when noise is most intrusive. Like our power systems, it is easy to fit or retrofit.
